    About Amandine Maria :

    Amandine Maria
, artist and landscape designer, lives and works in the south of France. After obtaining a master's degree in art sciences, she trained at the École nationale supérieure du paysage in Versailles and Marseille. Her work stands out for its unique combination of technical skill and artistic sensitivity, revealing landscapes with singular poetry.

Amandine Maria is known for her "walking maps," creations that blend traditional cartography with a walker's perspective. Created with ink and watercolor, her maps reveal the sensitive and sociological dimensions of territories. Her soft and subtle cartographer's palette is enriched with poetic texts, adding a touch of whimsy to her drawings. The works, often in two dimensions with multiple viewpoints, offer a versatile and immersive reading experience, regardless of the viewing angle.

"It is on foot that one understands the landscape best," says Amandine Maria. According to her, the rhythm of walking reveals the landscape in motion, transforming each step into a visual dance. This approach reflects her vision of the landscape as a dynamic, ever-changing entity.
